This year’s Doce comes from João Mendes, a fourth-generation grower whose groves in Portugal’s coastal Ribatejo region produce Arbequina olives known for their soft, delicate character. Harvested in November, slightly later than our other oils, it captures a riper, fuller flavor profile. Cold-pressed within hours, the result is a beautifully balanced oil: lush with green banana, avocado, and sweet almond, yet mellow enough to complement any dish.
